Specialist Mortgages are an online brokerage firm based in Glasgow who specialise in sourcing complex, buy-to-let and residential mortgages. I was approached to provide a new logo and marketing suite that would give the company a more professional, modern look. They also wanted to significantly enhance their digital presence with a new bespoke website and a creative synergy across all social media channels.
The existing branding included a castle motif and the firm were keen to retain this for continuity. I created a refined, flowing castle icon and added complementary text to create a striking logo.
I suggested a single-page scrolling website, rich in image and video content, with navigation that is permanently anchored to the top of the page. This approach looks particularly elegant on mobile and tablet devices, and by having a contact form that slides in from the right, we introduce a call-to-action that is always available.
Working closely with our web development team, we also incorporated a bespoke ‘Calculators’ section that prospective clients could use to work out stamp duty, monthly rentals, etc. This added a useful layer of interactivity.
